Diamond rugs are crafted from the finest rayon yarn. High grade rayon threads are meticulously woven into the cotton base to bring out distinct "Diamond" pattern in the entire rug. Our expert craftsmen use a unique loom specially built for this rug. A complex arrangement of threads and a near-perfect synchronised movement of hands and feet make such pattern possible in this rug. This remarkable craftsmanship also results in a reversible rug which is another unique feature of this rug.

Rayon also known as art silk is the oldest manufactured fiber, having been in production since the 1880s in France. Rayon is produced from naturally occurring polymers and has a high luster quality giving it a bright sheen. Rayon threads used in this rug are hand-dyed using high quality colours and have superior colour fastness properties.

These soft, flat-weave reversible rugs give you warm feeling in winters and are cooler in summers. Symmetrical diamond patterns with attractive colour combinations are pleasing to look at.

Product Review: Alot darker than shown
I bought this rug as I wanted it to match my sofa and in the picture the colour is a very similar shade. However when it arrived it is much darker than that shown. I'm still going to keep it as the quality is good for such a reasonable price and the pattern is nice, simple and pretty - but I can only give it 4 stars for such a difference in the colour.

Damru rugs are generously woven from soft and plush knotted Damru threads and lustrous Flattica threads. Multiple plies of both Damru and Flattica threads are woven together into a thick cotton base. A polymer coating at the back of rug further enhances anti-shedding properties of the rug and hence making them longer lasting. All threads used in the rug undergo a rigorous dying process using high grade colours thus ensuring long lasting colour fastness.

Word "Damru" comes from Devanagari language which means two-headed drum shaped like an hourglass. The Damru is very common throughout the Indian subcontinent. The Damru is known as a power drum, and when played tends to bring spiritual energy. Knotted thread used in this rug shaped like Damru and hence the name!

There are gold ribbons incorporated within the design of this rug that are almost impossible to see in the photos. The quality is good but we were caught off guard and decided to move it to a different room from the one intended as a result.

Product Review: PERFECT SIZE - LOOKS GOOD
Bought this as a hall runner. Measurements were perfect. Looks really good down. Only problem was that it is not rubber-backed so slips on wooden flooring. Apart from this I was quite happy with my purchase. VERY pleased with the design I chose.
